4. Access data / server log files

When you visit the website, the web server we operate (nginx) automatically collects the following data:

• IP address
• date and time of access
• page accessed
• browser type and version
• operating system
• referrer URL

Purpose: technical provision of the website, system security, error analysis and abuse prevention. Beyond that, the log files serve cookie-free reach measurement (server-side log analysis with GoAccess) as well as the automatic blocking of conspicuous IP addresses for up to one day (fail2ban).

7. No user accounts and no payment processing

This website neither offers nor stores user accounts, no payment processing takes place, no newsletter is sent, and no external analytics or AI services are used.

No further transfers take place.

9. Transfer of data to third countries

No personal data is transferred to countries outside the EU / the EEA. In particular, fonts are delivered from our own server (see section 15) and the number of GitHub stars shown on the start page is determined server-side – simply visiting this website does not cause your browser to establish any connection to Google or GitHub.

Personal data is stored only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as statutory retention periods require.

Our website uses the Google Fonts typefaces, which are hosted on our own server. As a result, no connection to Google's servers is established when you visit the website and no personal data is transmitted to Google.

The use of self-hosted Google Fonts serves exclusively the consistent presentation of our website and the improvement of usability.
